FAQs on pelagic fishing
Shetland Catch is the largest pelagic factory of its kind in Europe, and processes herring and mackerel for sale to customers all over the world. Fish is sourced from local vessels and from suppliers in Scotland, Ireland and Scandinavia.

Since opening in 1989, the factory has expanded its processing capacity considerably and is still investing heavily to maintain its state-of-the art facilities.

As a major player in the international field and one of the island's most important employers, Shetland Catch has a vital part to play in the economy of Shetland.

Chairman: John Goodlad
